Nada Abdulrahman Dahlawi

 Assistant Professor

Profile

Dear students, colleagues and visitors,

Welcome to my webpage.

I am Nada Abdulrahman Dahlawi, an Assistant Professor in Children's Nursing, Department of Maternity and child Nursing, College of Nursing at King Abdulaziz University.

Studying Nursing at King Abdulaziz University provided me with opportunities to help people in their most vulnerable moments. I was able to participate in many volunteering activities in preparing and presenting educational sessions for school students in deferent age groups. It was my pleasure to join the ministry of health during Haj ceremony at Mena Hospital to help in nursing the patients as a volunteer.

I have graduated from Nursing Bachelor program with first honor degree. I have, then, completed my one year internship program at King Fahd Armed Forces Hospital, Jeddah.

I have joined King Abdul Aziz University as a Pediatric Nursing demonstrator. During that time I gained a one year experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at King Abdul Aziz University Hospital. After that, I completed my Master studies in Advanced Nursing Program at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Recently, I granted my Doctor of Philosophy degree in Child Health Care at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.

My vision is to continue pursuing higher studies and motivating nursing education in Saudi Arabia towards the highest level nationally and internationally.   May Allah guide us and help us throughout this mission.

Research Interests

I am interested in enhancing the quality of life for children and young people with congenital heart disease and other chronic illnesses. I have particular interest in hearing children's voices by exploring their perceptions about their medical conditions and psychosocial status. Enhancing the healthcare and nursing care provided for children with chronic illnesses in Saudi Arabia is my optimum research interest
